Where The Sunset Sinks

Where The Sunset Sinks (© 2013 Dwayne Vincent)

Wish list for song

Drums
Bass
Keys

Forget about your sorrow
Forget about your pain
Look forward tomorrow
And all that it can bring

But I'll Say

Where you going to go
Where can you be reached
Tell em I'll be hanging out at the beach
Where the sunset sinks

Where you going to go
Where can you be reached
Sitting here sipping on another drink
Where the sunset sinks

Forget about your problems
Forget about your cares
Have to start living
One life that we all share

But I'll say

Where you going to go
Where can you be reached
Tell em I'll be hanging out at the beach
Where the sunset sinks

Where you going to go
Where can you be reached
Sitting here sipping on another drink
Where the sunset sinks

Song may need a bridge or lead instrument break however I left lots of room to add instruments and a new part or two.

just need to edit out some of the chorus vox parts to add bride or lead parts.

May have found a drummer for this tune on another site (fingers crossed)

Hey, Vincent, nice song!!!

I can´t provide you with anything you asked :) but I really liked the song.
I recorded (very quickly)some rhythm guitars over the last chorus and would like to know if it's along the lines you had in mind for the song.
this is just the final chorus. my overdubs start at 00:13.

hope you like

Thanks for the interest.

I like what you did...I think you could do even better if I posted chords.

-----------

Still need drums before doing any final takes/recordings.

Will post a drumless if any interest.

Song also needs a bridge.

Thanks again.

sure! do that and i'll try to figure out some more guitar parts to the other sections.
btw, when you say keys, you mean something piano, hammond or mellotron, or do you have some synth stuff in... (read more)

Some rough draft bridge lyrics.

Was thinking of trying electric guitar and keys for bridge (once its written)

(chorus)
Where the sunset

(Bridge)
Sinks into the dark
It captures my heart
Another day is gone for good

Close your eyes while its dark
Wait for a new day to start
Don't let it be misunderstood

But I'll Say

(Chorus)

Great!

You keep working on guitar filler (and other instruments if you want as well)

Open to all keyboard sounds (even Dubstep)

Once song is done and final tracks are done I will post all tracks for mixing...no sense uploading my stems yet until they are final takes.

Nice song, Vince, as usual. I like the added guitars. And, as usual, I don't really see the need for keys. Maybe it's just my lack of imagination, but to me the song sounds complete (in terms of arrangement).

Thanks Sto.

The added guitars sound great Stickfigure.

Didn't get a chance to work on a bridge yet.

We can either create a bridge or have some instrumental time with the chorus parts (remove some vocals for lead instruments)

Need drums.

I have my eye on a few used kits on Kijiji however I wont have the cash for drums for a few weeks (taking a part time job for a week or two to pay for them)

Even if I get the drums I may not be "Record ready" for a while so I will post a drumless.

Also posting a file with empty spot to write bridge part.

Most songs have a bridge these days so I will attempt a bridge for this tune.

Open for others to try writing a bridge as well.

Flac/Wav files

Bridge space with drums

No drum file with bridge space (150bpm)

ok Vince, just remember that it was you who asked for it... ;)

Instead of doing away with a section, I added a new instrumental bridge (read guitar solo, please) at 2:08. It's 8 bars at 75 bpm. It feels as a huge break because I didn't record bass guitar, acoustic guitar or the pad but I'm leaving that for you to do. I added some drums, though... oh, and some piano and a hammond...

Well, I had fun!!! ;)

Cheers!

p.s. Nice drums!!! Hope you get them soon!!!
Oh, and your flac files had some noise in them... :S
