Just finished my bands new track Wasted Years. This one is pretty big (was able to sum it just to 51 tracks ::) ). Have fun!

That's sounding pretty good! What I hear the bass is a little overpowering. You might get the separation you want just from lowering bass about few a dB. Otherwise I like it ! Very different from m... (read more)

I really dig your overall sound on this mix, I'm only listening at work and have some crappy Bose earbuds in, but it sounds balanced.

I might give this a go, is the drums real drums or midi?

Drums are both real and midi. We didn't record the kick drum at all because our old drummer couldn't play it. So we blended the room mics with sampled room with the kick drum and it came out pretty good!

Toms are all samples and snare is 50% if I remember correctly. I screwed up a little at the edit phase (a lot of experiments and new stuff) so I don't have any edited real toms or snare to share.

Hi :),

I´m trying to make the intro big and wide but i´m not quite happy with the result and i have not touched the vocals at this stage.
So here is my 50 % mix without intro and without Vocals. I like the "In Your Face" vipe of this mix but i am not sure if it is too much. Maybe the mix needs more definition and separation of the individual elements. Suggestions anybody?

Here is my take on the mix!
The song was funny to work with, not a big fan of the vocals. Hard to hear what they sing/whisper so I decided to make them alittle The Cumshot stylish.

Had a little fun making the intro sound 'crappy'. I did have some trouble trying to balance all the different versions of the lead vocal, and ended up just going with one track of it, and trying to beef it up on it's own.
